My Life:  In Living Color!

Home cooking

Well, here's my life, what's important to me:  My family, friends, and hobbies.

I was born and raised in Long Island, NY.  You can take the giwl offa Lawn Island,  but you can't take the Lawn Island outta the giwl.

The largest suburban school district in New York State!  My class (many, many years ago) had approx 1600.

SUNY Stony Brook

Ok, so a lot's changed since I graduated here (first the BS in Biochemistry, then a job in Pharmacology,  then the MS from the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program).  The sports teams were called the Patriots, now it's the Seawolves.  Football was a club sport...now they're division I.  The new Life Sciences building is FINALLY being built.  (The construction of this campus is so bad (lowest bidder, state-run), it'll cost more to fix the problems than it would to start over again...the Health Sciences Center is the worst.)

My home town:  Holbrook, NY  (Exit 61 off the LIE!)

I haven't found much on  the web.  Funny, considering there are almost 30,000 people living there now!  It has an airport (Islip-Macarthur) on it's west border, the LIE to the north and dump (landfill) to the south (remember the Islip Town garbage barge from the 1980's?). It has a golf course, a little downtown area, burgeoning industrial parks and a lot of traffic!   Here's a few sites to check out:
